The NXP Writers Syndicate informally but effectively advocates and lobbies for writers, journalists, and reporters regarding issues of compensation and employment. In the current economic and societal environment, an increasing number of our members work as independent contractors on a freelance basis, making negotiations with sponsors and editors much more challenging, but as an organization, we are up to the task. Because of the large and growing number of writers on our membership roll, NXP carries some weight on the supply side of the equation in its discussions with both sponsors and editors requiring the services of writers, journalists and reporters. We are pleased to report that most of our negotiations have been civil and amicable, with satisfactory results for the ultimate benefit of not only our members, but for the benefit of the profession’s many participants.

We are managed at the executive level by senior writers, which ensures that we maintain operational integrity and serve the best interests of our constituents. Our membership encompasses journalists of virtually every skill level and area of technical expertise. There are few, if any, topics which our writers cannot address in their excellent reporting and writing.
